It's in the water baby...

Brand new este o trupa geniala din Statele Unite. Nu stiu daca mai are rost sa zic ceva. Unora nu le place, altii nu asculta asa ceva, mie mi se pare geniala si atat. La albume din cate stiu eu, pana acum sunt scoase trei: Your favorite weapon, Deja entendu si The devil and god are raging inside me. Din cate am inteles in toamna asta vor sa mai lanseze un album. Oricum, acum o sa va exemplific niste melodii ca sa intelegeti de ce imi plac mie asa de mult. Si de ce sper ca la anul sa ma duc si eu la un concert de-al lor (wherever that is!)

Melodia mea favorita este o melodie instrumentala, in afara de micile interventii de la inceput (care, apropo, nu sunt in cine stie ce limba asiatica ci chiar in comuna engleza, zicand asa “Space cadet, pull out”). Her goes: Welcome to Bangkok (videoclipul nu e al lor, ci e facut de un fan)

iar originea numelui acestei melodii, citez : “Welcome To Bangkok” comes from the Jean-Claude Van Damme film Kickboxer, in which Van Damme’s arrogant elder brother and American kickboxing champion is soundly beaten and has his back broken to the sound of drums and tambourines. Before the fight the film shows a banner proclaiming “Welcome to Bangkok Stadium”, and then several Thai spectators shout at Van Damme “Welcome to Bangkok”.

Anyways. Sa trec mai departe. Mi-e foarte greu sa fac un top al melodiilor mele favorite de la aceasta formatie. Pentru ca le iubesc pe toate. Dar pe locul 2 ar fi Okay I believe you, but my Tommy gun don’t. De asemenea, nu e videoclipul piesei(pentru ca nici prima nici asta nu au un videoclip oficial)

Pe locul 4 am o piesa care are si videoclip. Sic transit gloria…glory fades. Si un videoclip chiar bun. Practic si noua ne e frica uneori sa nu fim copiati. Tuturor.
